Focus and Scope

OBGYNIA (Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Science)  is a journal in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is officially issued by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine of Padjadjaran University. OBGYNIA published research articles about the new scientific, clinical management of the patient, surgical techniques, new treatments and service evaluation, management and treatment services in obstetrics and gynecology covers areas:

  • Fertility and Reproductive Endocrine
  • Maternalfetal Medicine
  • Oncology
  • Reconstruction Urogynecology
  • Obstetrics and Social Gynecology
  • Obgynia also published case reports and article review on a limited basis.

This journal is expected to be a reliable source of information, quality and complete knowledge about medicine and health.

Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Science (Obgynia) is accredited (2022-2026) by National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) Managed by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia with Third Grade (Peringkat 3, Sinta 3), 79/E/KPT/2023.

Peer Review Process

Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Science (Obgynia) conducts a manuscript review process with 2 (two) reviewers, after previously going through a screening process by the editor to ensure that the manuscript is in accordance with the Obgynia format. If the manuscript is in accordance with the Obgynia format, then the manuscript is reviewed with the Double Blind Review system, and it is ensured that there is no author's name on the manuscript, so that the reviewer and author do not know each other. The review process takes about 2-3 weeks, depending on the feedback on the manuscript.

If the results of the review include suggestions for improvement from the reviewer, then the author is asked to be willing to improve the manuscript according to the reviewers' suggestions. Then the author sends the revised manuscript back to the Obgynia Editorial Team, and marks the revised manuscript (highlights) on the revised manuscript, and completes it with a certificate of proofreading.

The final manuscript of the author that has gone through the review process will be checked again by the Editor. If the manuscript is in accordance and answers the reviewer's suggestions, then the manuscript is forwarded to the Language copyeditor to check the grammar. Once the language copyeditor has completed the review, the manuscript is ready for the publication process.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access.

  1. This journal has been indexed by CrossRef and all articles have DOI number.
  2. This journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License  (CC-BY-SA). Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Under the CC BY-SA license, others may share, adapt, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as they provide appropriate credit and distribute their contributions under the same license as the original.
  3. This journal is an open-access with abstracts and full articles downloadable for free as Adobe portable document format (PDF) files.

 

Archiving

All published articles are assigned to Digital Object Identifier (DOI)- CrossRef. Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Science (Obgynia) journal deposits publications in multiple digital archives around the world to guarantee long-term digital preservation.
 
All published articles are indexed in Portal Garuda, SINTA, Google Scholar, and Indonesia OneSearch. All articles are permanently archived and available in HTML and PDF formats.

 

Plagiarism Check

The Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology Science will screen manuscripts sent by authors using the manuscript plagiarism checking program, Turnitin. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Please ensure that the manuscript similarity is not more than 20-25%. If more than specified will be returned to the author for correction. The author can also check plagiarism by attaching the results.

 

 

Artificial Intelligence Disclosure Policy

Use of AI by Editors

The Editorial Team is not permitted to use AI in checking the entire content of the manuscript, assessing it, and making editorial decisions.

Use of AI by Reviewers

Reviewers are not permitted to use AI during the processes of reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, or drafting review comments, nor to input or upload manuscripts—or parts thereof—into AI applications.

Use of AI by Authors:

Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by adding a statement at the end of their manuscript—within the main manuscript file—prior to the References list. This statement must be placed in a new section titled 'Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process'.

Statement: During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL/SERVICE] for [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as necessary and take full responsibility for the content of the publication.

 

Withdrawal Policy, Erratum, Corrigendum Policy

Obgynia adapts the article retraction guidelines based on the COPE Retraction Guidelines

Withdrawal Policy: Manuscript withdrawal will only be allowed for the most compelling and unavoidable reasons. For manuscript withdrawal, authors must submit a "Manuscript Withdrawal Form", signed by all authors stating the reason for withdrawal to the Editorial Office. Authors should not assume that their manuscript has been withdrawn until they receive appropriate notification from the editorial office.

Erratum (Publisher Correction): An erratum refers to a correction of errors introduced to the article by the publisher. All publisher-introduced changes are highlighted to the author at the proof stage, and any errors are ideally identified by the author and corrected by the publisher before final publication. Errata should be published for scientifically relevant formatting changes, or changes to authorship if the author or contributor list is incorrect when a deserving author has been omitted, or somebody who does not meet authorship criteria has been included. Scientifically relevant formatting issues that require an Erratum might include missing or unclear figures, or errors introduced during proofreading (e.g., missing text). Minor errors that do not affect readability or meaning (e.g., spelling or grammatical errors) do not qualify for an Erratum. All authors should proofread the final version carefully.

Corrigendum (Author Correction): A corrigendum refers to a change to an article that the author wishes to publish at any time after acceptance. Authors should contact the editor of the journal, who will determine the impact of the change and decide on the appropriate course of action. Obgynia will only instigate a corrigendum to a published article after receiving approval and instructions from the editor.
